Abundant features that achieve Mimaki quality

DAS (Dot Adjustment System) NEW! The JV100-160 is equipped with the DAS, a function to automatically adjust the dot position and feeding amount that affect print quality. When media or printing conditions are changed, an adjustment of ink dot position and media feed amount to suit is necessary. As the DAS automatically performs these operations, printing can be performed without any labor or variations in adjustments by the operator.

Mimaki technology that enables stable and high-quality print MAPS4

Generally, swath boundaries are straight lines. Therefore, a slight misalignment between boundaries causes banding or uneven color printing. MAPS4 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4) reduces banding and uneven color printing with blurred boundaries similar to gradation printing. MAPS ON Banding and uneven color printing are reduced by scattering swath boundaries. Beautiful print image is obtained. MAPS OFF Bandings appear on swath boundaries. Print quality is remarkably degraded because banding is recognizable on each boundary.

NCU & NRS automatically detects missing nozzles and performs recovery

NCU (Nozzle Check Unit) detects the status of nozzles automatically. When the NCU detects a missing nozzle, it automatically performs cleaning. If cleaning does not solve the problem, NRS (Nozzle Recovery System) automatically replaces the defective nozzles with other nozzles, which enables users to continue the print operations without waiting for a repair by a technician.

High productivity

Prints out 180% faster than JV150 * High productivity supported by high functionality allows for more order processing of short-duration work. *JV100-160: 20.0m²/h JV150-160: 11.1m²/h (Media: PVC, Y resolution: 720dpi 6P)

Excellent weatherability and rub-fastness of eco-solvent ink for stable quality

Mimaki eco-solvent ink with excellent weatherability and rub-fastness The solvent ink prints are ideal for outdoor signage. The prints show little fading/degradation because of direct sunlight, and have high weatherability in rain/snow, and they also have high rub-fastness. * Depending on print media, laminating may be needed, please contact us for details beforehand.

New and improved genuine RIP [RasterLink7] is provided as standard

RIP core modified to enable high-speed PDF processing, improving processing speed by 25% on average. Increases productivity.

Please see the following. Relocation of the printer should be handled by our qualified MIMAKI engineers, for it may damage the printer or get the printer broken. Relocation requires for the heads to be tested after relocation, needing MIMAKI engineers to check on them. Once your printer relocation schedule is settled, contact our retailer, sales office of tecnical call center and let them know the schedule.
The waste ink in the waste ink tank have reached a certain amount (80%). Reset the waste ink in the waste ink tank by replacing the waste ink tank or discarding the waste ink by pulling it into alternate container. Once resetting the waste ink on the machine, the warning message [Check waste ink] will go off. If keep operating the machine by resetting the waste ink yet in fact there are good volume remained in the tank, it will be eventually over-floated. Click here to see how to discard waste ink in the waste ink tank. [How to reset the waste ink] (1) Go to MENU -> MAINTENANCE -> REPLACE WasterInkTank, and then press [ENTER] key. Click on Image to zoom (2) Press [ENTER] key twice while the machine shows Waste ink level. Click on Image to zoom *When resetting the waste ink with the remaining waste ink is less than 80%, then operate the ▲(UP) key to change the level more than 80%, and press the [ENTER] key to reset it. Also you can operate ▲(UP) or ▼(DOWN) keys to register the actual waste ink.
Please see the following. This is the message to warn you to check on the cartridge to see if it is empty; and it appears occasionally. Remove the washing liquid cartridge and check it’s not empty; and reinstall the cartridge to reset the counter and it will cancel the message. * When OK is selected with no washing liquid cartridge removal, then it will cancel the message at the moment, but it will appear once again when you restart the printer.
Please replace the wiper. Make sure to follow the instructions on [WIPER EXCHANGE] under the maintenance menu. See [Operation manual] > [Chaper4 Maintenance] > [Replacing consumables] for details. Run [WIPER EXCHANGE] menu after replacing the wiper, or it keeps showing the message, [Replace a WIPER]. It is because systems in the printer counts the number of wiping operation; unless you run [Replace a wiper] menu, it won’t reset the number. You, in fact, can perform printing without wiper replacement, but continuous usage of the filthy wiper may result in nozzle clogging, thus we recommend for you to replace it any sooner. Since a wiper is one of the consumables, please place an order as you order inks.
Mimaki Inks have an expiration date on them to avoid poor print quality. Printer displays the message, [Expiration] to let you know that installed ink passes the expiration date. Replace the expired ink cartridge. [How your printer operates in expired ink] Your printer displays the message [Expiration] in the next month after the ink expiration; and even if you do not replace the expired ink, you still can continue to run it 2 months after the expiration, and when it passes three month from the expiration date, your printer ceases to operate. [NOTE] If you keep using expired inks, it may result in poor print quality such as degraded colors; we highly recommend for you to replace the expired ink any sooner.
